TRAVEL GUIDES9 min readDA NANG

Da Nang is the easy-going heart of central Vietnam. A wide sandy bay on one side, jungle-covered peninsula on the other and a compact city in between, it works as a base for beach days, big-view mountain trips and food-led wandering.

My Khe is the city beach: long, wide and busiest at dawn.

Why Da Nang

Few Vietnamese cities pack in so much variety. You can swim before breakfast, climb a marble mountain by mid-morning and watch a dragon breathe fire over the river that night.

It is also the natural gateway to Hoi An and Hue, both an easy drive away, so many trips start or end here.
